Block Level Colouring

The colour of this text has been set by clicking on the block's menu and selecting ColorRed.

Because the parent block is set to Red at the block level, nested blocks will inherit the red colour and can't be shown in the Default colour.

All text-based blocks will inherit the parent colour.

Text Level Colouring

The colour of this text has been set by highlighting all of the text within the block and clicking on the Text color menu (A ▾) in the formatting bar and selecting Blue.

Because the parent block is still set to Default at the block level, this nested block inherits that also.

Additional Elements

  1. The additional elements of a text-based block (like a list number or quote border) will change to match the block level colour that's been set, as shown here.
  2. If the colour is set at the text level then the additional elements will remain as the colour that's been set at the block level, which in this case is Green.
