<aside> ❓ Add background colours to rows in simple tables.

TIP

  1. Click on a simple table's main menu and select Copy link.
  2. Paste the copied link into a code block and remove the part of the link after the .so/ and up to and including the #. So for https://www.notion.so/username/abcd1234#efgh5678 you would remove the username/abcd1234# section to get https://www.notion.so/efgh5678
  3. Click the Copy button that appears when hovering over the code block and then delete the code block.
  4. Paste the copied link, select Link to page, then click on the new Untitled link.
  5. Add a new text block to the page and change its background colour.
  6. Navigate back to the page with the original simple table to see the additional row with the background colour set. You can change a background colour from the original table directly by highlighting some content in the row and using the Colour option found in the ••• menu on the formatting bar.

Note: Because of how simple tables work, the existing rows won't be visible during this step but can be removed from the original table. New rows can be added as normal to the original table but background colours will need to be set using the steps above.
